We are pleased to share our 2nd DSBCD dancers feature. These features allow our community to get to know the amazing young Artists that make up The DSBCD Dance Company.

Introducing Devon Golding, 13 and Ceana Francis, 13

Devon is an award winning soloist with many high accolades already under her belt. Devon creates visual images when she dances that have a purity of line and her quality of movement is long, fluid and utterly graceful. Famously known for her incredible feet it is impossible for her beauty to go unnoticed. Elegant beauty and technical precision are how we would describe this young Artist. Devon is a quiet and humble individual who demonstrates a serious attitude towards her work, she is the type of dancer who applies corrections immediately and is always prepared for rehearsal- a sign of maturity that far exceeds her years. The sky is the limit for Devon as she continues to grow and develop artistically.

Ceana is an award winning soloist who is known for her powerful performances. Ceana is what we like to refer to as “an emotional executioner”, a term that simply means the ability to express truthful emotion. Ceana captivates audiences with raw Artistry that transcends physicality while her physicality is one of true athleticism. A dynamic and passionate dancer with a powerful presence on stage are some of the qualities that make this young dancer so thrilling to watch. Her deep sense of movement enables her to float effortlessly from soft and still to sharp and isolated. Ceana is an old soul in a young body who has the determination required to succeed.

We are very excited to continue to see these young Artists continue to grow throughout the rest of our 2015 season and beyond.
