Early Bird (ages 2+)
Join us for a creative exploration of movement for boys and girls Ages 2 – 3 years old in Ballet. These classes are designed to introduce your child to the joy of dance! We lay the foundation of classical technique by working on Musicality, Flexibility & Stretching, Strength building, Locomotor skills, Co-ordination and Creative Exploration.

Pre-Primary (Ages 3-4)
Enhance your child’s creative world through the exploration of movement and music. Pre-Primary uses imagination to build a developing vocabulary and technique for boys and girls ages 3-4. These classes are 45 minutes. At this level we also introduce Jazz and Acro into the curriculum. We offer a combo class of 30 minutes of Jazz technique and 30 minutes of Acro technique for a total of a 1hr class. Students can study one or two classes per week.

Primary (ages 5-6)
At the Primary level we offer classes in Ballet, Jazz, Acro, Tap, and Hip-hop for boys and girls ages 5 – 6 years old. These classes are for beginning levels and Students have the option to study from once or twice per week schedules. All classes at this level are 1 hr.
RAD Ballet Classes Grades 1 – Advanced 2
We offer the internationally recognized Royal Academy of Ballet (RAD) ballet classes. These classes are offered from Grades 1 – Advanced levels. Students have the option to study from once per week options up to four times per week. Pointe is introduced at he Inter-Foundation level and students have the opportunity to pursue formal examinations. These classes are 1-1.5 hrs depending on level.

Contemporary Dance Classes (Ages 7-18)
We offer contemporary dance classes for students ages 7 and up. These classes are for students wishing to pursue an approach to dance that incorporates athletic technique and creative exploration. There is also an emphasis on improvisation and modern dance techniques such as Graham, Horton and Limon. These classes are 1-1.5hr depending on the level.

Jazz Classes (Ages 3-18)
We offer Jazz dance classes starting at 3 years old. These classes are high energy, fast paced classes using popular music and exploring the vast styles of Jazz dance. Jazz is a derivative style from African dance that fused ballet to create what we now see today. This stylistic and technical form of dance focuses on Jumps, turns and progressions across the floor.

Tap Classes (Ages 5-18)
We have a strong Tap dance program offering classes for students 5-18 years of age. Our tap classes focus on technical execution with an emphasis on rhythm and musicality. From classic broadway to modern footwork this class is perfect for students who have a love for musical theatre!

Acro Classes (Ages 3-18)
Acro classes are a combination of gymnastics and dance. These classes teach students gymnastic skills beginning on mats allowing them to learn tumbling skills. There is a large emphasis on stretching , strengthening and conditioning exercises to compliment all styles of dance.

Hip-hop Recreational classes (Ages 5-18)
We offer high energy Hip-hop classes taught by Toronto’s top Industry professionals! These exciting classes are designed to take your grooves to the next level while learning a multitude of urban and street dance styles. We have beginner through advanced levels and classes are 1 hr.

Award winning Elite Competitive Team (Full Time)
Our Elite Competitive Team is known for their strong technique and artistic excellence. DSBCD dancers are versatile young artists who perform professional choreography in all genres of dance.

The DSBCD Competitive Team trains in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Acro, Tap, Intensive Stretch and Hip-hop. Participants compete in competitions throughout Ontario and New York City. Acceptance into this program is by Invitation/Audition.
Pre-professional Program:
The Blue Institute
This Program is for students who wish to pursue post-secondary training in dance and/or pursue a professional career. We help mentor young artists and prepare them for the dance world at large. Private coaching is available to these students in addition to curriculum training. We prepare advanced students to participate/audition at the highest calibre competitions and Conservatories such as Youth American Grand Prix, The World Ballet Competition, The Juilliard School, The Joffrey Ballet, The Ailey School, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet and The National Ballet of Canada. Yes!!! All dancers are welcome, you do not have to belong to our studio to attend the drop in classes*

Currently it is only Ballet for beginner Adults but will be adding Contemporary in the Fall

Hello! The early bird class is $45 + hst per month. The class is for boys and girls and has approximately 10 students per 1 teacher and assistant. We are holding registration on Thursday from 4pm – 8pm or you can register online by emailing us at DSBCD@hotmail.com 🙂

Hello! The classes are $45 + hst per month and the times are 5pm on Tuesdays or 10am on Saturdays. No experience necessary for these classes 🙂 You can register online via an E-transfer or in person via cheque, cash or debit. I would like to sign up my daughter Sophie (4 years old) for fall dance program. Recently she became very interested in dance and started asking me to sign her up for ballet classes :). Since its late in the year I have signed her up for a community centre dance program and she loves it.
I’d like to ask when do the classes start in the fall. How long each one lasts and what days are available? Also what is the cost of the program? Would you have any open doors days in the nearest future so we could come and see your school?

I am looking for a studio to enroll a 6 yr old boy in Hip hop/ breakdance and a 12 yr old girl in recreational acro and jazz or contemporary.
I am hoping to find a studio to enroll them.with now ( Jan 2017) rather than waiting until September.

Hi my name is Reina. I have a daughter that will be 3 in November. She was born with a heart condition that requires multiple surgeries. These surgeries leave her unable to do anything involving pressure on her arms and chest. I would love to put her in dance as she’s a very active little girl full of spirit. I am wondering if there is a way she can still attend your school and how we could work around her time off classes if it is possible for her to attend?
